Chopped all of my hair off!

Well, I didn't do it, but my highly trained professional hair dresser did!

And surprisingly, I love it!

I always said I could never do it and here I am, with about half the hair I had last week!

Now, where do I find short hair tutorials?
I just got this curling iron I'm ready to try out!

Travel Tuesdays!

In approximately 17 days I will be headed to one of my favorite places on earth: Los Angeles, California and not returning for a glorious 10 days!

One of my Bffs is having her bachelorette party for the first 4 of the days, then I will have 2 days to hang out on my own with friends and family, then the Mister is coming for the final 4 days!

I am definitely a California girl and I have almost moved there a time or two (ain't nothing that can take me out of the South though, y'all!) 

I can't wait to hike to the Hollywood sign

I love scoping out famous people's houses

I love driving on the freeways (with GPS of course!)

I know no local Los Angelo would ever say this, but it reminds me of that scene in Clueless. As if!

I love the beaches (near LA)

I love In-N-Out (duh)

I love the Lakers 

*hopefully* I'll get to go to a game while I'm there, but they only have one home game night vs. the Wizards

(Pau Gasol, call me maybe?) 

I love shopping at Rodeo Drive The Grove

I have already decided I'm not going to pack very much because I intend on having very full bags on my way home

I mean, pretty much...

I know there are going to be lots of fun and crazy adventures on this trip and I cannot wait!

Weekend Shenanigans!

For the first time this year, my TV got quite the workout due to being sick on the couch...

 1) Friday night and Saturday I was sick, so I caught up on some TV

2) We got a little snow Saturday morning!

3 & 4) I was feeling better so the Mister and I went bowling with friends Saturday night- my highest score was a big *80*
5) I decided it was a good idea to bowl in gems

6) I love 007. I love Daniel Craig. I love Daniel Craig as 007. This movie was awesome
7) Has anyone else watched this on E!? It's hilarious if you watch The Bachelor! 
8) I don't care how old I am, cuddling up to a Disney movie with some pizza on a Sunday night will always win. 
I may or may not have cried at the end of Tangled. I have always loved the story of Rapunzel!

Friday night:

the Mister and I went to Cantina Laredo 

hellooo mahi mahi tacos!

Saturday:

Spent some time with one of my best friend and her son (one of my favorite littles!)

Sunday 

the Mister and I ran errands around town and then visited my step-dad's art show, where he won best in show!

Also, the Mister put our new bed together, which I love! Next up, we have to get our new duvet and curtains up!

I have decided it's time for a haircut, like, yesterday.

Also, I have a 1 hour commute to/from work every day and I have recently become obsessed with books on CD. 

I put up the Mister's food/beer pairing calendar with a new easel and brought out some of my pretty jewelry for my lucite tray

Last night, we watched the Oscars

I loathed Anne Hathaway's dress, y'all. It looked like a dress someone wore to prom in the 90's. 

Also, I think with her short hair and high neckline she should've had on a fab pair of earrings, instead of a necklace. And that darting on her chest was just obnoxious. And the color of the dress completely blended with her beautiful alabaster skin instead of complimenting it.

Jennifer Aniston, on the other hand, I think looked just fab!
Although, sometimes I wish she would try something new with her hair instead of always looking like she just brushed her hair and put on an evening gown.

Ugh, K.Stew. Girl needs a good night sleep and a hot shower.
I wish someone would inform her that she doesn't have to be a Hollywood starlet. I'd gladly take the job!

Dear husband, you spoiled me yesterday!

I don't know what I did in life to be so lucky and I wish our kind of love for all of my friends.

We had so much fun cooking dinner together (grouper, scallops, tuna steak, baked potato, and broccoli) and then later, we made red velvet cupcakes together

Dear AshLee, I don't love the spelling of your name, but I love you and I think if Sean is even a little smart, he will give you the final rose (NO SPOILERS PLEASE).

Dear weekend, you are already looking like a very busy one! I am having a good friend from LA stay the weekend with us and then hosting her bridal shower on Sunday. I have been working long and hard on this, and I can't wait to see the final result. She is a big fan of the Kentucky derby, so I went with that as the theme and have had a blast doing so!

Weekend Update!

Friday night I made pan seared salmon and cheesy broccoli orzo and organized our new kitchen

Saturday we finished painting our living room tables, bought bedroom furniture at West Elm (love you, Parsons tables), and the Mister found a desk for his office!

Saturday night we went out with friends, but I ended up bumping into my cousin and hanging out with her most of the night:

Sunday I was sick in bed all day long, so I played with my new iMakeFace app 

(not bad, eh?)

and ordered books off Amazon

My friend, Hot Steve (aka Mikky Ekko) preformed at the Grammy's last night with RiRi. Check out his solo stuff, too.

  I am probably the one person that didn't watch the Grammy's, since we don't have our TV service yet. 
I followed along on Twitter though, and what I gathered was that Nashville stole the show, Carrie Underwood wore some crazy (LED?) dress, Katy Perry has ta-tas , Prince brought canes back into vogue, and Chris Brown is still a jerk.
Also, who is Frank Ocean?
